A Moment of Silence

Sometimes things happen in such a random way that all you can do is shake your head and release a deep sigh.  For this such moment, picture LittleTDJ and I strolling through the parking lot at a local pumpkin patch.  A pumpkin patch with a nice friendly entrance such as this:

Imagine all the families walking leisurely through the parking lot, ready to enjoy all the fun that a pumpkin patch can offer.  Then, out of nowhere, a lunatic is a truck just like this

speeds through as if he were at the Indy raceway instead of a pedestrian crossing.  Imagine people scrambling to get out of his way.  In the chaos, suppose you dropped your jacket in the road just as he zoomed through.  Drats!!  Tire marks on your jacket, but it can be washed.  Imagine retrieving your jacket and realizing that you had your iPod touch in your pocket. How bad could it be?  Perhaps it was cushioned enough to not have been damaged.

Ugh!!!!  A moment of silence for my iPod touch please.  Death, Sunday, October 30, 2011, 1:47pm.

  1. If this was that dreaded phone of yours (teehee) I would be jumping for joy. But I’m going to pour one out for your iPod touch because I know you love it so.

Thank God you and the little one got out of the way safely.

  2. oooooh… It brings tears to the eye… when I last saw mine… the face was seriously cracked… but I would still used it… left it in an auxiliary building at my church for 30mins… came back and it was gone….RIP Ipod Touch.. 😦
PS Glad you and the little one are ok 🙂

  3. Of course I’m glad the two of you are fine.

Dr./Mr. has one of dem new fangled iTouchy thangs. He doesnot/will not use it. You want a barely used, good condition one? I can make you an offer you can’t refuse 🙂
